Steelhead fishing in the Lower Niagara River has been pretty good. The Walleye seem to be illusive , hopefully we will be able to find them. This time of year , with wind and ice melt, there are days we have to watch for ice flows. When the wind cooperates, the fishing on the Niagara Bar has been producing, Lakers and some Brown Trout. The creeks are open and starting to see some more action, Browns and Rainbows. Ice fishing this season has produced small Perch , Crappie and Pike. Guys had the most luck at Sodus, Silver Lake and Oneida. Wilson Harbor has picked up as of late, they are catching some small Perch and a few pike. The thaw will be here soon so get ready for some great Spring fishing!!
